Why You Should Look Up the D‑U‑N‑S Number of Another Company

There are many reasons why it can be useful to know the D‑U‑N‑S Number of another company. Each D‑U‑N‑S Number connects to a company’s business credit file, which  may include useful information about that company’s credit history, credit rating, and credit scores. It can also tell you if the company has any suits, liens, or judgments against it. You can also use the D‑U‑N‑S Number to better evaluate your supply chain risks or help evaluate compliance needs.

While the D‑U‑N‑S Number itself does not contain any information related to a company’s stability or credit scores, it does allow you to access that company’s Live Business Identity which can be tied to its credit file.
