Overview

The ERISA data helps clients identify potential opportunities for cross-selling and for prospect marketing regarding sales of financial products, insurance services and products, and opportunities for medical providers to provide treatment plans to plan members and retirees.

This dataset covers employee benefit plans with detailed information on the type of programs that are provided to the participants. The ERISA data, where provided by the reporting company, is provided by the IRS from form 5500. It is meticulously scrubbed for errors and is collected annually with quarterly updates. The data is standardized and CASS certified (addresses are scrubbed for accuracy and “mailability”). It includes both the IRS 5500 Long forms, with company schedules (15 separate schedules/addendums that provide broker data and more detailed data on insurance companies — some of which have multiple providers), and the short forms (basic information that covers smaller companies).

Where possible, Oxxford matches the companies listed in the 5500 form with the Dun & Bradstreet D‑U‑N‑S® Number to afford clients the opportunity to easily append the multitude of firmographic data residing in the Dun & Bradstreet file. This enables clients to segment their marketing and sales opportunities more efficiently.
